Superyachts operate in areas such as the Mediterranean Sea, where most of the immigrant’s paths exist on their way towards Europe. It is highly possible during a relocation or even worse, during a charter the yacht to be involved in a Search And Rescue operation where a large number of immigrants have to be embarked on the vessel.
This course will cover this issue and give the crew all the necessary knowledge on how to handle immigrants who have to be rescued and embarked on the yacht as castaways. Which are the points that should be kept in mind when participating in a large scale rescue and subsequently in dealing with the rescued? How you should act before, during and after the end of this incident? How can you execute your humanitarian duties but at the same time protect yourselves, your guests and your vessel?
At the end of this course these questions and many others will have been covered and answered.
